Leona Lewis, Jimmy Page and a now defunct Route Master London Bus. Does this bode well for the 2012 Games?

Route Masters don’t even exist anymore. So much for the “modern, go ahead, we don’t do bland” Olympic logo.. sorry, but it doesn’t come anymore bland that Leona Lewis and David Beckham on top of a London Bus.. lord, 4 years to go and I’m cringing already.

And what’s wrong with showcasing Britishness in China? Whether you personally like them or not, they are generally accepted as a ‘safe’ face to represent Britain. The Route Master bus – known and recognised the world over as quintessential London. Jimmy Page – one of the best rock guitarists ever, and member of one of the greatest rock groups in the world. David Beckham – world class footballer and past captain of the England football team (born and raised in London) who played a key role in bringing the Games to London. Leona Lewis – erm……
